This week we heard the news of the intercounty retirement of one of our club and our counties best ever camogie players - Chloe Morey.
A member of the Clare senior camogie team since she was sixteen Chloe has been one of the most recognisable camogie players in the country with her trademark ‘stars and stripes’ bandana always part of her kit for battle.
She was part of the fourth Clare team to win the All-Ireland junior camogie title in 2008. Aged fifteen, she started at midfield alongside Clare GAA Head of Operations Deirdre Murphy.
In 2010, Chloe captained the Clare team which competed in the All-Ireland final, losing out to Galway 2-12 2-8.
In 2012, she was part of the Clare team to win the Munster senior camogie championship. A year later, she was honoured with an All Star award at wing-back and is one of only three women from the county to have such an accolade alongside Catherine O’Loughlin (2005) and Máire McGrath (2014).

Chloe hails from a well known hurling family in the Bridge and has been well able to put it up to her siblings both on an off the field. While the scoring charts on the kitchen fridge include her brothers Caimin and Alex, she puts all their sporting success down to her sister Melissa who keeps them all grounded. Her parents Mike and Valerie have also been a huge influence on here career with coaching and vocal support over the years.

Cooley Mountains
In 2022 Chloe was crowned Clare Long puck champion and went on to represent the banner in the all Ireland final in the famed Cooley Mountains where she finished in 2nd place. More on hit here

Morey Movement
As well as educating the future generation in the classroom at St. Caimins Shannon, Chloe is also in business with her cousin Seadhna where the run their own business in the Mill Yard Sixmilebridge at Morey Movement which is a great addition to the community and beyond.

We all wish Chloe the very best in her retirement from the county setup and we look forward to seeing her in the Bridge colours and continue to play, coach and act as a here and role model to the next generation in the club.
