U21A Championship
Sixmilebridge 1-20
Inagh Kilnamona 1-19

Venue - Gurteen
Referee - Eoghan O' Leary

The Bridge U21 A team entered the race for the U21A championship on Saturday last where Inagh Kilnamona were the opposition. These sides last met in the U19 championship final where the Mid Clare team were the victors  on that occasion.

A strong Inagh Kilnamona side featuring Fred & James Hegarty and Sean Rynne started very well and with the aid of a strong breeze found themselves 5 up at half time, but the Bridge came out in the second half with a strong showing but just couldnt get close enough to take the lead. There were strong performances from Luke O' Halloran, David Kennedy and Matthew O' Halloran and a good team performance in the second half. In the end it was a loss by the minimum of 1 point and the As will now proceed to the Shield comptetion for the remainder of the campaign. It was encouraging to see some of the younger lads make the team and hopefully they will help to backbone the team as the hunt for an U21 Title goes on for another year, the Bridge last won at this grade in 2014 when they beat Ballyea in the final.
