U12 camogie end of year trip to Cork and Jump Lanes
Last Saturday morning the U12 camogie team took off to Cork on a bus to play a challenge game with Na Piarsaigh on the outskirts of Cork city. Two pitches hosted about 70 girls. U12’s on one pitch and U11’s on the other. There were great skills and determination on display on both sides. After the matches the hosts treated us to a sit down feast in their lovely function room. We have to mention the impressive cupcakes that were made especially for us. Truly amazing hospitality from Na Piarsaigh. Thank you so much for having us.
A quiz about the camogie club and camogie rules provided some entertainment during the journey. Congrats to the prize winners.
On the way home we stopped off for another bit of exercise at Jump Lanes and refuelled in Supermacs before we got back to the ‘Bridge. No doubt the girls slept well that night!
For the next few weeks the girls take part in a fun athletics programme with Chloe and Séadna from Morey Movement on Tuesdays and we will keep training on Fridays before we take a well earned Christmas break.
Special thanks to coaches travelling on the bus Eileen, Jean and Laura. And to John and Terence for driving all the way to Cork to coach the girls. Your work is very much appreciated and without all of you there would be no U12 team.
