The Sixmilebridge community is lacing up for an exciting day of fitness and fundraising at the upcoming 5K & 10K Fun Run & Walk, taking place on Sunday, June 8th, in aid of the U15A Féile Team.
Called the “Six Mile in the Bridge,” the event invites runners, walkers, and families alike to participate in an fun and active morning. Kicking off at 9:30 AM from the Sixmilebridge GAA Club (Main Field), participants can choose between a 5K or 10K chipped run, or a more relaxed family walk.
Chipped run competitors have a chance to win cash prizes, with €150 awarded to the top male and female 10K finishers, €75 for the 5K first male and female winners, and €50 for the fastest U12 participant.
Entry fees are set at €10 for the 5K and €20 for the 10K, while families can join the walk for €20. All registrations are managed via ClubZap, with a convenient QR code available on event posters.
Proudly sponsored by O’Flynn’s Centra, Sixmilebridge, the event promises fun for all ages while raising important funds for the young hurlers representing the village at the Féile na nGael competition in Wexford.
