Garth Brooks may have missed his chance to play in Croke Park a number of years ago but last night all his classic hits were performed in the Marquee at O'Garney Park in Sixmilebridge when Trevor Smith and his band raised the roof. This is the first hoedown to come to the village and a large outside following for the band along with the local fans meant the floor was bouncing all night. Adam Moloney from Shannon set the night going with a solo performance on stage before Jake Carter and his band got the crowd shaking with some modern hits and some old classics.
Two nights down and the finale tonight which promises to be a huge event showcasing local talent. It starts at 7 and kids are most welcome with special tickets for the youth at €5.
