Our U14 Hurlers were in action on Sunday morning in the Semi Final of the U14A Championship when Newmarket was the opposition.
This was a repeat of last years U13A championship semi final which the Blues won on their way to winning the championship outright so this was predicted to be a close encounter.
The Bridge were quickest out of the blocks with the first score to take the lead which they held for the full game to run out winners by 3 points.
It was a super team effort by all the boys with Caelan Hayes rattling the Newmarket net. We wish Christopher Healy a speedy recovery following a shoulder injury.
Next up is Ballyea in the County final in 2 weeks.
Team:
Lorcan Benoit;
Aidan Kearney, Noah Seago O'Sullivan, James Harrison;
Cillian Rafferty, Sean Conlon, Christopher Healy;
Jack Fitzpatrick, Jack Monahan;
Noah Conneely, Liam Mulready,Jack Reddan;
Matthew Murphy, Caelan Hayes, Blake Corbett.
Subs Used: Matty Maxwell for Healy (inj), Alex Russell for Corbett, Ronan Lynch for Reddan (inj)
