Some great footage of the 1977 team from their Munster club games against the mighty St. Finbar’s of Cork. There’s a few questionable hairstyles and a sense of novelty of being videoed which is far different from now 40 years later with camera phones and Facebook etc..
Many of those in the video have sadly passed on and to have any footage from this era is great but to have color footage is even better.
Thanks to the Gleeson family for providing the reels. The footage was converted to digital and has been heavily edited to illustrate the best bits with sound added.
