A few weeks ago we had a wonderful night in the Clubhouse when it was transformed to host our medal presentation night for the U15 and Minor Hurlers of 2026. Well done to Kevin Phelan and his committee of parents who made the place fit for hosting the Oscars with the help of James and Adam Sexton from Hiya event Management. The boys were fed and watered early in the evening before the presentation of medals - MC on the night was Tommy Liddy who wowed the audience in this Tux - the younger boys figured he had it from when he won his all star while there mothers thought he would make a fine James Bond!
First up for medals were the U15 boys who went through 2025 unbeaten winning the Clare Feile and Clare Championship as well as representing Clare in Ferns Wexford at the All Ireland Final. Club Stalwart Christy Murray presented the medals to the boys. In between presentations MC Tommy interviewed the band of brothers and their mothers with some light hearted games and quizes thrown in for good measure.
The Minor medals were presented by Ann Chaplin - The minor cup is named after Anns husband Willie and the family have a great conenction with the club with her 4 boys winning All Ireland Club Medals in 1996. Congratulations to all who received medals and well done again to MC Tommy, Kevin and all the organising group on an excellent night out.
