O'Garney Park in Sixmilebridge which was listed as the largest club grounds in the Country in 2023 (see here) has proven to be a happy hunting ground for Clare Teams again in 2026 with a 100% win rate for our County Minors and U20s across 4 games.
A little known fact for many is that O'Garney Park in Sixmilebridge (145M x 90M) is the equal in size to Semple Stadium Thurles and has a larger playing area than Croke Park (145M x 88M). The enclosed crowd and electric atmosphere on game nights makes the Bridge venue a tough visit for any clubs looking to come away with a result.

A big well done to our Field Committee who do so much work in getting the surface perfect in O'Garney Park at times of the year when most fields are still closed due to inclement weather and also to the stewards who volunteer on Munster Championship nights and continue to provide a warm Bridge welcome to all visitors. In sports, millimeters and milliseconds often dictate the margin between a legendary victory and bitter defeat - many of these small gains happen in O'Garney Park which is why legendary wins like last Sunday in Thurles should be enjoyed all the more by our club volunteers.
