Last evening in sweltering heat in Newmarket our U15 Hurlers qualified for the U15A County Final after they defeated Kilmaley on a score line of 7-19 to 1-06.
This was the 3rd meeting of the sides this year with Kilmaley winning the Feile encounter and the Bridge winning the group stages of the championship.
While Kilmaley were down a few players the Bridge boys adapted well to the conditions and were full value for their lead at the first water break a lead they held until the very end.
The boys now go on to face Ballyea in a repeat of the U14A final of 2025 after Ballyea defeated Newmarket on a score of 1-21 to 1-17 last evening.
The county final is fixed for Monday 6th July with the venue expected to be Cusack Park.
