Sixmilebridge 0-19 Cratloe 0-17
The old cliche in sport "A game of 2 halves" was never more fitting to describe a game that this round 6 Clare cup Division 1 encounter between neighbours Cratloe who were on home soil and the Bridge. Cratloe were unbeaten coming into the game while the bridge had 2 wins 2 draws and a loss so all was to play for.
The Bridge raced into a 4 points to 1 lead in the early minutes before powering on to lead 15 ponts to 6 at half time with the game looking as good as over. However Cratloe rallied in the second half and came out all guns blazing to reduce the deficit to 1 point. The Bridge didnt score for the first 15 minutes in the second half such was the home sides dominance but experience of never panic stood to the county champions and a late rally with scores from Gavin White, Deasy. Caimin and Pa Mul secured the win. The Bridge move up to 2nd in the league table with a repeat of last years cup final against Newmarket away next up in 2 weeks.
