The next instalment of the U14A championship was an eagerly awaited tie away to neighbours and friends Wolfe Tones.

The Shannon ladies marched into an early lead with some excellent point taking but the Bridge girls, to their credit, plotted their way back into the game, realising quickly that attacking the heart of Wolfe Tones defence was proving fruitful. The home teams net was rattled on a number of occasions, so much so that The Bridge took the lead into the halftime oranges.

The 2nd half was a role reversal of the first with Wolfe Tones realising green flags & not white were the key to coming away with a win. The Bridge girls rallied valiantly but the more experienced & physically stronger Shannon outfit took the spoils in the end with some well taken 3 pointers.

Management & supporters alike made their way back to Garneyside with smiles on faces & reasons to be optimistic, as for most of the game, it was a ding dong battle with one of the strongest teams in the A division
