The Bridge Junior B1s played their 1st round match against Clarecastle on Thursday evening in Clarecastle. Managed by Jamesie Hassett, this year the team is Captained by Sean Lynch who is down from Intermediate and Vice Captained by Danny Dunne. Jamesie is assited in his backroom by selectors John Macnamara & Martin Corry, coaches Jamie Keane & Danny Morey, kitman Decky Collins and on Stats Siobhan Lynch, Evan Murphy & Paul Corry. Sıxmilebridge started the first half very strong, with a goal from John Deasy and points from Sean Lynch, Donal O'Leary and Niall Liddane. They finished the half ahead on score of 3-11 to 0-5.
The second half saw the Bridge keep control of the game despite a penalty goal for Clarecastle. Overall this was a good team display with good work rate throughout. The final score was 4-23 to 1-09. Good on the night for the Bridge were Jack Corry, John Deasy, Jack McNamara, Conor Giligạn, Sean lynch and Donal O'Leary.
