The Sixmilebridge U12 Camogie Group have enjoyed a very busy and productive period over the past two months, with plenty of competitive action providing the girls with valuable experience and opportunities to develop.

The group have played four competitive U12 league games to date, facing Eire Óg on July 4, Kilmaley on July 11, Inagh on July 18 and Newmarket on August 8.

Each game has provided a great test for the girls and another opportunity to put their skills into practice against strong opposition.

A fantastic aspect of this group is that the majority of our girls are a year younger than the U12 age grade. Despite this, they have shown that they are more than capable of holding their own, competing well and gaining fantastic exposure to a higher level of competition.

The experience they are gaining now will be hugely beneficial as they continue to progress through the age groups.

It has been an extremely busy six weeks, with eight games played between U12 league fixtures and challenge games. The regular competitive action has allowed the girls to develop their skills, improve their decision-making and build confidence both individually and as a team.

There is plenty more to look forward to, with three more U12 league games still to play, along with further challenge games expected.

These upcoming fixtures will provide the girls with more valuable opportunities to test themselves, learn from every game and continue their progression.

A huge thank you goes to all the coaches for their continued commitment, time and encouragement, and to all the parents for making the girls available for matches and supporting the group throughout what has been a very busy period.

The girls will continue in the right manner, with progression and improvement remaining the key focus as we move forward. The hard work continues, and the group will be looking forward to the games ahead.
