Sixmilebridge 2-21 Scariff 4-15

Our Intermediate team carried the remaining hopes of any adult success in the club for 2018 into their 1/4 final clash with Scariff last Sunday played in Broadford. However following 80 minutes of hurling the teams could not be separated in a high scoring game with 42 scores in total.

The Bridge bucked the saying of goals win matches on a number of occasions throughout the game as they conceded a number of sloppy goals in defence while luckily up front their forwards were firing on all cylinders with David O'Connor and Paul Corry hitting the back of the Scariff net to keep the Bridge in the hunt.

The score in normal time was 2-16 to 4-10 before entering extra time. At half time in ET the Bridge lead by 2 points before Scariff edged ahead in the dying minutes only for Sean Lynch to save the day with a free. The replay takes place at the same venue at 2PM on Saturday.
