Kilmaley 1-18 Sixmilebridge 0-12

The Bridge exited the U21 campaign for 2019 at the first hurdle when going down to championship favourites Kilmaley by 9 points. Despite a good start with 2 unanswered points by captain Pa Mulready form a placed ball and one from play by Paul Corry it was Kilmaley lead by the 2 Seans (Kennedy & O'Loughlin) who went on to dominate the remainder of the half and lead by 1-11 to 0-05 on the short whistle.

Things looked ominous for the Bridge in the second half as they faced the elements but to their credit they dug deep and started well again with frees from Corry (2) and Mulready inside 5 minutes cut the lead to 6 points at gave the Bridge a glimmer of hope. However a more balanced Kilmaley side pushed on for the win and a spot in the semi final.
