A new training camp which has been fine tuning athletes for Clares Fittest Superstars has been discovered in the area of Sixmilebridge in recent days. The camp is said to have been designed by a local fitness guru and built by a coach involved in the U8 and U10 teams. Clares Fittest Superstars representative Davy Fitz said he had been alerted something was going on when local hardware providers Flan O'Neill and Bunratty CoOp Super stores recently reported a big surge in plywood sales but word on the street on April 1st was a new skateboarding park with a halfpipe was due to be revealed for the area. This is the 3rd camp in recent weeks to spring up and is the most advanced to date with laser precision technology used in course design and obstacle scaling to replicate the mains obstacles to within 1mm of the real thing.
However the truth has come to light, and a replicate of the course for Clares Superstars has sprung up with a 6 foot and 10 foot wall as well as a ramp to mimic the final obstacle on the night. Rumors that the O'Garney river has been diverted onto the course to practice the under water beam station are unfounded but a skip full of water has been spotted in the area.
The countdown to Clares Fittest Superstars continues this week with a school visit when all students in the local schools will receive a free entry to the event on Saturday April 27th. The event will have lots of fun events for all the family while the main event is happening on the day so remember to pencil it in to your diary.
