Dublin County Final
Congrats to Bridge man Seanie Stack (Junior) who refereed the blue ribbon of hurling in Dublin yesterda when he officiated in Parnell park for the Senior Championship final between Cuala and Ballyboden St. Endas
Stack played underage for Sixmilebridge before getting a teaching post in the capital which saw him transfer to Parnells. He took up whistling a number of years ago and is on the InterCounty refereeing panel. Seanie is the son of Clare & Bridge legend Sean who was one of the greatest Clare hurlers of all time.
Kerry County Final
Congrats to Matthew Flaherty on winning a Kerry Senor hurling title with Kilmoyley over the weekend. He plays his football with Dingle and has had a very successful underage career with the Kerry Minors and U21 footballers - However there is a very strong hurling bloodline here with very direct links to the Bridge and the O'Dowd family.
Kieran Liddane climbing the refereeing ranks
Just like Seanie Stack above 2 other local referees in Kieran Liddane and Kevin Corry have been making a name for themselves recently and starting to take control of big games.
Liddane was in charge of this weekends U14B final over the weekend and along with Kevin Corry have been an excellent asset to the club and are always available to referee games for our teams at short notice.
Pictured below is Liddanes motley crew including Brian O'Loughlin, Tom Keogh, Jude Kearney & Patrick Punch.
