The Bridge 15s Academy took to the field against Corofin/Ruan. The Bridge started promptly with a real team performance going 1-5 to no score up after the 1st 5 minutes. The pick of the scores coming from full forward Darragh Leyden after a lovely passage of play.
The Bridge continued to dominate throughout with John Deasy and Aidan Moloney driving through the heart of the Corofin/Ruan defence, with Deasy getting a Seanie Mc style point!
The final 10 mins of the 1st half proved a little worrying from a Bridge point of view as C/R rallied and rose to the challenge.
Half time was an aid to the Bridge as they came out all guns blazing. The striking, use of the ball and scoring was very impressive with fabulous scores from Whyte, Leyden, A Moloney and fantastic vision from Ben O'Connell made life easier for the forwards.
All in all the bridge put together a great team display and ran out victorious. They hope to continue this team effort in the later rounds !
