This week is make or break for the U14 Championship with the final round of games approaching. The Bridge will play their game in hand against Ballyea tonight and visit Scariff/Ogonnoloe for Round 7 this Friday evening.
Last weekend saw the Bridge win against Carecastle on a score of 2-09 to 0-08 at home. First half goals from Luke Keogh and Evan Murphy along with fine point scoring from Dylan Downes and David Kennedy saw the winners lead 2-06 to 0-02 at half time. An injury to Darragh Toomey weakened the Bridge defence and the Magpies came back into the game to cut the deficit to 5 points with 10 minutes remaining. The Bridge finished strong with points from Downes and and Leon Kelly to seal the win and ensure their place in the semi finals. With a home venue for the table toppers and second place the Bridge will be determined to keep their winning streak going and have their semi final in O Garney Park.
