Sixmilebridge came up just short in a very entertaining game in wet conditions in round 3 of the Under 15 academy hurling.

Sixmilebridge lead 2 - 7 to 3-2 at half time. Full forward Darragh Leyden leading the scoring with 2-2 and Ben Maxwell scoring two excellent points from play. Our defence was lead superbly by Centre back John Deasy.

Doora Barefield fought back well to lead going into the closing stages. Aidan Moloney scored an excellent goal to put two points between the sides however the Bridge were unable to close the gap.
