Our U6 and U7 hurlers will play their first competitive games of the season, when they welcome their counterparts from St Josephs Doora/Barefield to O'Garney Park next Saturday morning, September 18th, at 10am.

With a squad in excess of 50 players, these will be split into teams of 7 players per team. Each team will play 4 games of 10 minutes duration. There will be a short break between each game to allow the players to recuperate, rehydrate and discuss tactics for the next challenge !

Since commencing the 2021 season on May 10th, these young men have accumulated 32 training sessions. As the season has progressed, their skills have notably advanced with most now able to comfortably rise the ball and many can strike in the air.

Whilst Saturdays games will be ground hurling only, puck outs can be taken from the hand. We will also be encouraging players to hold their positions on the field as much as is possible.

We encourage all parents to come along and cheer on this future generation of Sixmilebridge hurlers. It is a great opportunity for these young men to showcase their skills and get some competitive action under their belts.
