Kilmurry Primary School will have a unique occassion this week when they will contest County Finals on the double.

This Tuesday the girls will take on Doora in their final. The girls final is Tuesday at 10am in Cusack park. The girls are going for 2 in a row under the stewardship of Mary Clune and Jimmy Conlon. The girls have had a remarkable road to the final. They beat Conaires Shanon 18-05 to 0-00 in round 1. Then Aidans Shannon in round 2, 8-7 to 0-00. In the semi final they brushed aside Ruan 9-04 to 0-02. The Kilmurry panel is : Kate Fitzgerald, Michelle Hurley, Emily Costello, Josette Hogan, Maeve Egan, Emma Stanley, Lucy Quinlivan, Nicole Neenan, Kayla Tuohy, Emelia McErlain, Emma Donnellan, Aoibhín McNamara, Eloise O'Brien, Louise O'Mahony.

The boys then will contest their final Wednesday at 11am in Cusack Park against Clonmoney. This will be the 2nd time the sides have met this year. It is the boys 3rd attempt to win the trophy having lost the last two years to eventual winners. The boys are back-boned by many members of the victorious U/14 team who will be in feile this coming weekend. Managing the boys path to the final are Principal and magpie Kevin Clohessy, Jimmy Conlon, Brian Culbert and Tipp native Brian O Connell. The boys beat Clonmoney in Round 1, 4-10 to 1-8. In Round 2 they beat Bodyke/Tuamgraney 7-7 to 1-2. Round 3 they accounted for Doora 5-9 to 1-5. In the semi final Newmarket were defeated 5-16 to 3-5.
