Sixmilebridge 0-17 Newmarket-on-Fergus 0-11 

The Bridge returned to the summit of the Clare Cup 1A league table with a 6 point win away to Newmarket on Saturday evening.

Conor Deasy was fastest out of the traps and had 2 points on the score board in as many minutes followed by a Gilly free and Declan Morey from play before Colin Ryan giot the home side off the mark to leave it 4 points to 1.

Points followed for the bles from James McInerney, Ryan with a pointed free and a Jordan Collins point to level matters.

Jason Loughnane who has been understudy to Derek Fahy this year stamped his presence on the game with a breath taking save from Mike McInerney out for a 65 which Ryan converted.

Caimin Morey scored from a placed ball which Eoin O'Brien responded to before Caimin, Gilly and Shane Golden raised white flags to put the bridge 2 ahead at the short whistle.

Half Time: SMB 0-09 NOF 0-07

The Bridge again started the second half at a fast pace with points form Gilly and Decy Morey. Shane O Brien and Ryan added points but the Bridge drove on with 2 points from Golden and Gilly and 1 from Caimin Morey.
