A busy fortnight on the U13 scene with the squad experiencing mixed fortunes over 5 games.

A v Doora Barefield - Gurteen - Jun 29th

An exciting game of hurling saw our A team come out on the wrong side of a 2 point defeat to Doora Barefield. A strong first half saw the boys - captained by Dylan McInerney - go into the break with a 7 point lead. Doora Barefield stormed back into it in the second half and came out ahead after a frantic finish. Best for Sixmielbridge in this game included Dougie Brew, Cillian O'Connor and Tommy Healy.

Academy v Doora Barefield - Gurteen - July 1st

The second of two trips to Gurteen and unfortunatly another defeat. Captained in this game by goalkeeper Colum Keane, the boys made a great start and had plenty opportunities but struggled to capitalize on them. A strong second half from Doora saw them finish out comfortable winners in the end.

A v Kilmaley - Sixmilebridge - July 6th

The A team got back to winning ways with a good victory over Kilmaley. Good performances in this team from captain Cillian O'Connor, Conor Keogh and Colm McManus.

Academy v Ballyea - Sixmilebridge - July 8th

Best performance of the year by the Academy team - captained by Mikey Lyons - was not enough to get the win in round 4 of the Academy championship. A very entertaining game saw great performances throughout the pitch with special mention for Joe Reidy, Sean Moloney and an impressive 4 goals from full forward Neil Og McGiollaCearra

A v Clonlara - Clonlara - July 11th

Holiday season is in full swing with the A squad - captained by Ross Kearney - missing several regulars for this trip to Clonlara . The boys unfortunately never really got going in this game and struggled to take scores despite having plenty of possession. Best for Sixmilebridge were Dylan McInerney, Colm McManus and Liam Flannery.
