On a bright Sunday morning, our u13A team played their first championship match of 2023. The team, captained by Clara Rose Wrixon Todd, battled hard from the start. Caoimhe Liddane was the first to score, splitting the posts in the seventh minute. It wasn't long before she gained possession again and scored a second point. A goal apiece from Darcy and Brooke left the Bridge girls with a comfortable lead going into the break.

With the wind in their favour, Sixmilebridge got off to a great start after half time, with Brooke scoring a point from play and converting a '45. Sarah Conlon rattled the net six minutes into the second half and then popped a point over. Another point from Brooke and a goal from Caoimhe completed the scores for the second half.

The girls displayed outstanding teamwork across the field and superb performances from all players with our backs working tirelessly to keep the play away from the Bridge goal.
