It was no surprise this fixture took place in University of Limerick over the weekend given the amount of rain that fell over the past week and that a lot of pitches were unplayeable. This fixture in round 2 was actually the 'Bridges first senior outing since exiting the championship last year, as the round 1 fixture against Inagh did not go ahead last week.

Fielding no less than 8 players from the 19-21 year old bracket, management are certainly giving oppurtunities to the young lads. David Kennedy was away on Clare U20 duty. It was encouraging also to see Alex Morey back from longterm injury and his tally of 11 points on the day including 7 frees was good to see. Sean Macnamara contributed the goal in a game where the 'Bridge led by 5 points at 1-5 to 0-3 after 17 mins and by 8 points at 1-11 to 0-6 at half time. They eventually ran out 10 point winners at 1-21 to 0-14.
