Cumann na mBun Scoil 7s - Double for Sixmilebridge NS

On Wednesday this week Sixmilebridge NS completed the 7s double in the first round qualifier-Teams that were in the group;

Cratloe | Sixmilebridge | Parteen | Clonmoney | St.Aidans | St.Connaires

Round 1 : Smb 6:09 St.Aidans 0:03

Round 2: Smb 7:08 Parteen N.S 0:02

Round 3 (final): Smb 3:04 Cratloe N.S 2:01

Mini 7s panel: Aidan Kearney, Liam Mulready, Harry Loughnane (c), Caelan Hayes, Jack Fitzpatrick, Noel Duggan, Jack Reddan, Cillian Rafferty, Jack Monahan, Darragh Toomey

All teams produced some exceptional displays in difficult conditions. There were some excellent scores, passing, and the skill level was of a very high standard. Well done to the lads who played really well throughout and worked tirelessly to get their just rewards. A big thank you to Jim and Andy for officiating both Mini 7s competitions. Next for the boys are the winners of the other 5 groups in the finale. Well done boys and keep up the great work!!Best of luck to Kilmurry NS who will be in action in the coming weeks in the 7s.

Both schools are taking full advantage of the new arena as part of their preparation for the upcoming school events. the facilitate is a great addition to both schools with the poor weather of recent weeks,

Indoor Hurling Competition

3rd & 4th Class boys and girls from both Sixmilebridge & Kilmurry took part recently in the indoor hurling and camogie leagues. We also had players taking part with lots of other schools including Clonlara, St Senans, St Aidans, Cratloe and Conmoney.

Congrats to Matthew form our U11s who was on the Clonmoney team who were crowned Champions.

In preparation for the competition the Minor club presented new hurleys to the local school as shown here by the girls team.

Primary Game

Congratulations to Lily Flannery & Darcy O’Hara who have been selected to play in the Primary Game during the upcoming Munster Championship.

Best wishes to Joe Reidy & Liam Flannery who are going for trials for selection.

Kilmurry NS Lunchtime Hurling League

Kilmurry NS Lunchtime Hurling League is up and running every Monday and Tuesday! We have 5 teams and each team will play each other once. The top 4 teams will then play in the semi-finals. Waterford, captained by Darcy O’Hara, have taken an early lead, with Tipperary and Kilkenny in hot pursuit! Fíonán and Larry tell us more: At lunchtime for the past few weeks in Kilmurry we have been playing are hurling league which includes 5 teams Galway, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Kilkenny. In the league, its 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and no points for a loss. Everyone is having a great time playing the hurling league. There have been some very exciting matches so far!
