07 April 2023 - Sixmilebridge 1-9 Scariff/Ogonnelloe 1-12 (Feile na nGael quarter final)

Scariff/Ogonnelloe were the visitors to O'Garney Park for a Feile Quarter final against our u15s. After an evenly matched first half, an opportunist Scariff/Ogonnelloe goal from a placed ball right before half time saw them enter the break with a 1-6 to 6 point lead.

The visitors then kicked on at the start of the second half to extend their lead to 7 points before the Bridge lads got to grips with the game. However, it was too late by that time with Scariff/ Ogonnelloe running out deserving winners on a scoreline of 1-9 to 1-12.

15 April 2023 - Sixmilebridge Academy 7-14 Tulla Academy 3-6

The Academy team hosted Tulla in the 3rd round of their championship last Saturday morning. With one win and one defeat in the earlier rounds, the lads needed a victory to keep the possibility of reaching the knockout stages alive. Playing against a stiff breeze in the first half Sixmilebridge took control and went into the break with a 1-8 to 3 point lead. The carried on from there in the second half to win comfortably 7-14 to 3-6.

Overall a great team performance with notable contributions from Eoin Murphy, Conor Gleeson, Darragh Sweeney and Aodan Flannery.

17 April 2023 - Clooney/Quin 1-6 Sixmilebridge 4-9

The A team were back in Championship action with a round 3 game away to Clooney Quin. The first half was a case of history repeating itself with the lads dominating but getting hit with a goal late in the half to see them trail 2-1 to 1-5 at half time.

The second half saw a major improvement with an early Donal O'Leary goal being the springboard for a 4-9 to 1-6 victory.

Good performances in this game from Cuan McGiolla Ceara, Stephen Gavin and Donal O'Leary.
