Our Junior Bs came up just short against a good Smith O' Briens side on Saturday in Clonlara. Having managed to allay several Smith O' Briens goal chances in the opening moments, the 'Bridge went on to put in a fantastic performance in the first half including a goal from Paul Corbett. The 'Bridge led at half time by 6 points at 1-10 to 0-7.

However, the second half saw the 'Bridge only manage 4 points whilst Smith O' Briens powered into the game scoring 1-11 in the second half. Overall it was certainly a game of 2 halves, but the 'Bridge will feel dissapointed having had a sizeable lead.

Good for the 'Bridge on the day were Mark O' Donovan at full back, Paul Corbett at Center forward and Stiofan Fitzpatrick at Full forward. The 'Bridge will be hoping for a win in round 2 next week against Whitegate.
