Last Friday our U6s and U8s lined out for the last time this season in O'Garney Park. The dressing rooms were full of noisy and excited young players where they got into their teams. In all over 60 were in attendance and were cheered onto the pitch by their equally noisy and excited parents who formed a guard of honour from the dressing rooms to the pitch. Team photos were taken and then the girls lined out in their 10 teams.

All girls gave their all in a fantastic display under the floodlights of O'Garney Park and showcased all the skills they have mastered over the season. Afterwards the girls were brought back into the dressing rooms where a number of the u8 coaches gave inspiring speeches that would rival Niall Gilligan's "Superman" speech! It was then time for the girls to head up onto the stage.

The u6s were first to be presented with medals and a team photo for each girl. The U8s then were presented with medals, certs and the results of their skills test. Finally, all the girls were given a goody bag, courtesy of O'Flynn's Centra. The parents, grandparents and extended family members present enjoyed a cup of tea, cakes and a chat.

Many thanks to Linda in the club shop for sponsoring the prize for best attender, O'Flynns Centra for the goody bags, Adrian for photography, Sláine, Chloe and Rachel for presenting medals and all the parents who helped out with catering and clean up. Enjoy the break girls, and keep hurling. We will see you all in the Spring!
