St. Flannans 1-16 St Caomins 3-06

In a cracking morning for hurling in Wolfe Tones St. Caimins faced St Flannans in round 1 of the 1st year hurling championship.
The Bridge were well represented on the Caimins team with 7 starters Aidan Kearney (2), Noah Seago O'Sullivan (3), Seán Conlon (6), Jack Fitzpatrick (7), Liam Mulready (9), Jack Monahan (10) and Caelan Hayes (11) along with 5 Newmarket boys, 2 Wolfe Tones and 1 Cratloe.
Also for the Bridge Padraig Collins and Cillian Rafferty saw action.
At the short whistle St Caimins lead 3-05 to 0-08 but a rejuvenated Flannans in the second half see them outscore the Shannon school 1-08 to -01 to win by 4 points.

Clonmoney win INTO Mini 7s
Well done to Clonmoney NS who won the INTO Mini 7s for the first time in their history today in O'Garney Park. The event was very well organised and hosted by Mr. Keane from St.  Finnachtas NS in Sixmilebridge with Ger Hoey and John Bugler on the whistle.
The draw made this morning saw group 1 consisting of Crusheen, Clonmoney and Barefield while group 2 had Ballyea, Ogonnolle and Kilmaley.

In game 1 Crusheen were well in command for alot of the game before Clonmoney finished strong with 2 late goals to win by the minimum. In game 2 Barefield beat Crusheen to setup a winner takes all V Clonmoney. In this game Clionmoney won
4 7 to 1 4 to set up a final with Ballyea.
In a thrilling final Clonmney ran out winenrs on a score of which they won 4-07 to 3-03.
Well done to the grounds men at O'Garney park who have the place in great condition including Flan McInerney, Sean Stack and John Brennan (all 3 with Clonmoney connections) who were working this morning under the watchful eye of John Corbett  and to our own club man Matthew who captained the winners.
