Last Saturday our U10 hurlers made their first trip outside of the parish in 2020 to play a blitz in Newmarket against the home side. 38 players and 8 coaches made the trip with 5 teams from each club battling it out under the early morning sun.
A big focus for our boys in the handful of weeks training to date has been taking the 4 steps, finding a team mate in a better position and working the ball out of the ruck. It was very encouraging for all the coaches to see the improvements in all our players with some exellcellent point and goal scoring, hooking and blocking throughout the 2 games.
This week sees the Cúl camp visit the Bridge so we will take a break from training but will visit Monaleen on Friday evening for a blitz.
Thanks to Tomás Ryan & Martin Conlon for organising last Saturdays blitz and Newmarket for hosting.
